Hmm hope Intel improves support for Linux drivers soon...
What I feel is once the sales of SNB start increasing, distros would provide either an official or third-party repo support for pre-built drivers and this should make installing drivers less painful....
I do not mind compiling drivers from source as long as all the features of my hardware are usable (let's forget about Optimus here - we all know it aint coming in Linux any sooner)....
I really feel Optimus and Sandy Bridge went hand-in-hand making it more of a Intel + nVidia + microsoft win-win deal....
