    Slash from numpad not working

    It works normally, but when I'm viewing a file using "less" and want to search for a word, and hence press "/" from the numpad, it doesnt work. Using slash from the non-numpad key works. Why is this?

    It depends on your keymap, keyboard, distro... what model do you have and what distro and version are you running?

    It doesnt work on diff configs.
    On US keyboard+ Debian Lenny, doesnt work
    On european keyboard +Ubuntu 10.10 same problem...

    Hmmm, but should the / key from the numpad be indistinguishable to applications from the / key from the main keyboard?
