Hi, I've recently installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my Dell XPS m1530 notebook. I'm experiencing some really slow hard disk transfer rates when copying files from one folder to another. The maximum speed that I've achieved is like 10 mb/seg. In Vista i used to get higher speeds than that.
My hard disk is a TOSHIBA MK1652gsx (SATA 2, 160gb).
Does anyone know what can be causing this problem?

    Thanks in advance.
