I'm running 9.10 Ubuntu x32 desktop edition on my Acer Aspire one D150 netbook. Obviously, it's a 1.6ghz atom, 2gb memory and gma950 display.

My Dell doesn't do this ... I've pulled out the SD card and booted from it on my Dell and my Dell works with no problems.

The problem I have is when I plug it in (while unplugged) or unplug it (while plugged in) it will go into standby 2-3 times before working. What happens is ...

    1. Unplug (or plug in)
    2. Standby
    3. Power back on
    4. Standby
    5. Repeat step 3 (maybe)
    6. Work

It also goes into standby if I move into the shell CTRL ATL F3 or whatever and back to the GUI.

    Any suggestions?
