    Hello,

    I'm considering buying a laptop with a Blu-Ray drive, and would like to know how is the current status of playing Blu-Ray movies on Linux.

    Last time I checked (about 15 months ago) things weren't very good, and one needed quite a few workarounds.

    Unless, of course, you were to rip the disks. Then you can play the content that you purchased a license to on any OS or any device that you please... ;)

    Interestingly, I just got an update for libbluray0 in my PCLinuxOS machine. Too bad I don't have a bluray drive to test it on. :D
