Below is a screenshot from a message which lives on my OpenSuse 10.3 machine. It's irritating because it won't go away even after I make an attempt to install the app (which I don't currently need).

I have been able to properly update a couple of other items which showed up; I'm not really sure whether I needed them, but wanted to see if the update installer worked.

If anyone is able to tell me what to do with this I'd appreciate the help. I'm feeling like a totally bewildered n00b at the moment.

I hope the damn screenshot shows up as planned. LOL

Dammit, the screenshot isn't cooperating. Will be back in a couple of minutes (hopefully) with it posted.

Ok, it's there now. How do I either install the update, or make it disappear? The icon in the tray in the lower right corner stays orange telling me constantly that I've got available updates.

Following your suggestion, matematic, I get the following:

    rob@linux:~> #zypper up -t package
    rob@linux:~>

I have no idea what I'm doing or what this means, but nothing seems to be happening. What am I missing, not understanding, or doing incorrectly?

Thanks, btw, for attempting to help. Rep to you tomorrow when I have some more to give.

Edit: Ok, got the updates installed, matematic. Appreciate your response. Not quite sure exactly what happened to correct the situation. Followed your directions, then fooled a bit with the updater, and rebooted several times. Finally, the updates installed correctly thanks to your advice and a bit of pure luck. LOL
