Have you tried two finger scrolling instead of scrolling at the edges?

I don't think so. I am used to scrolling at edges.
    I will try two finger

    You were close.

It seems the 2 finger scroll box was checked.
2 finger scroll did not work but, when I unchecked the box, edge scrolling works.

Good to know, my Latitude X1 is also running Zorin 12 and two finger scrolling was enabled by default, gotta try disabling it and see if I can scroll at the edges once it's shipped to me.

I also unchecked the natural scrolling box. It made it scroll backwards.

Yep that's the way it works, apparently "natural" scrolling is how you scroll on your smartphone. Zorin 12 is really built for touch-based devices.

That works great for my touchscreen Toughbook.

Huh. I never even noticed that my S5 phone scrolls backwards.

fwiw, you can fine tune your touchpad; enable and disable stuff by editing the xorg config... However I found it easier to just issue synclient commands in the terminal. After I found the settings I liked, I just created a SH file and put it in autostart which ran the commands upon boot.

for example, my vaio had double clicks and mouse 3 disabled.
I made the file tapping.sh and placed it in /etc/xdg/autostart
    contents of the file were:
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    synclient TapButton1=1
    synclient TapButton2=2
    synclient TapButton3=3
    problem solved!
