This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    When I used Ubuntu, I used to also get the message relatively frequently. I never seemed to have any actual system problems, despite what the message indicated.

    I disabled it following the article you linked to, and never had any problems.

    Thanks hummer010, + 1 It happens with nautilus and compiz & has been more frequent since I installed the latest version of SpaceFM. I normally can continue working by clicking through the dialog boxes. Just curious what are you running now?

    I'm running Arch. I made the switch a couple months ago. I've used either Ubuntu or Debian for 10 years, so it was a bit of a change.
