So I go to www.tsn.ca and I'm trying to watch some of their online media. When I click on the links, I get a new window that opens... then as the page loads, it says "Sorry, your OS is not supported! We recommend Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Mac OS X"
Can you believe that?!? I don't see what's wrong with Ubuntu...![]()

Write them a complaint. There is no reason that a website should care about your Operating System if it is standards compliant. It shouldn't even car about your browser if you have all the necessary plugins installed, but ActiveX owns many people.

Is it DRM, or is it just ********? (But I repeat myself...
)
It doesn't like Safari or Opera either... (this being on OS X). That's just poor. They say they're adding "Safari support", whatever that means. -
What players(plug-in) are they using?
-
Flash. The page is simply using Javascript to check your browser version, and displaying error messages if it doesn't like what it sees.
-
Wow... thats some BS right there.
Nothing pisses me off more than a company that has a website where you need to use IE under Windows. Everything should work fine under any OS and browser. -
well, at least the CBC has all the Stanley Cup coverage... GO 'NUCKS! (please stop losing)

Maybe I should send TSN a complaint. Linux is more than capable to view those media links...
TSN.ca is OS-ist (slightly Off-Topic...)
