The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. Read it. We'll see what happens, but even if this purchase takes place, I think, it's great chance, the SuSE Linux survives, I wouldn't worry about it now.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. I am a seasoned investor and watch the market very closely. In my opinion Novell being bought out is a good thing. Why? Because Novell wont be going to a hedge fund. I believe that IBM will be buying Novell if it is sold. IBM has the cash and they could easily make it an all cash deal and still have billions left over. Novells businesses complement IBM well and IBM is a huge sponsor of all things open source. I would say an IBm buyout is the most likely solution, and if not them then perhaps HP or Oracle. At $1B Novell is a deal for any company like IBM, so this Elliot deal will never happen.
