    Test Developmental Linux Distribution Releases

Help the Linux community test out an upcoming release of your favorite distribution. By testing an upcoming release, realize that you are helping open-source by reporting bugs and testing new features. The more people test upcoming releases, the more likely bugs will be reported, and you will help make future releases better for the free software community. These releases are unstable, and will not be safe for normal day to day use. Proceed with caution – only experienced Linux users, or users willing to encounter instability issues should test developmental releases.

The following are some of the most popularly used distributions according to distrowatch.com. It is in no way a comprehensive list of all available Linux distributions.

If you feel comfortable editing the Linux Kernel, then kernel.org is where you can download kernel releases.

Thanks to l33t_cow, adewolf, and noahsark for their recent additions.

I have been subjecting myself to oSUSE 10.3 Alpha 1 (just burned x86-64 DVD) ever since Andreas posted it to linuxtracker.org. Select which GNU/Linux to track, as soon as there is a new release receive an e-mail link to follow & commence DL
oSUSE, FC, Mandriva, Slack, .ubuntu are some of the ones I try on my Asus LT, NLUG is testing on Acer & Toshiba NB.
A good place to find answers to your GNU/Linux problems (newbie friendly!) is LinuxQuestions.org.
I test network to & from DT systems AMD FX 64 with 2GB DDR400 {Oc ~520} on nForce4 mainboards (5 setups). Just started testing a GA-965P-DQ6 with 2x2GB DDR2-800, e6600. Experimenting with RAID setups (R3 on Netcell Revolution), using Promise FT, Sil 3512, 3112, Talon & VIA add-in cards. Some PCI-E x1, others PCI
