What y'all think?

I don't know. I think that I will stick to my knoppix live dvd

I have used the various slax live cd's, which are based on the Slackware distro. The one thing I like about these is that they are pretty small, smaller than the knoppix cd's, and they do have different variants for some customized needs, such as the the server-based one. It seems that they have really differentiated the variants quite a bit since I used them last year. They now seem to have a sole console, server, the main-stay popcorn, kill-bill, and of course the standard. The different distributions seemed to be very nice. I used the popcorn and kill-bill ones last year because they did not have the others available. I have to say they are a very nice alternative to the knoppix cd's. These were first created to have something that was small and portable as opposed to the knoppix alternative, which can take up a full cd and takes a while to boot. If you want something real small, try looking for DSL, this is based off an earlier knoppix version and the DSL stands for **** Small Linux. These are about 50-60 mb in size. These do, of course, seem to be very much limited, but they boot up quite fast and are simple, afterall that's why the unix system was created.

I remember hearing about this distro awhile back and how great it was- I confess I still have not tried it but hope to get around to it. Knoppix is great and is what I currently use.
