I'm trying to install Kubuntu on one of my HTPCs for the non-Unity interface. It's got a Linksys WUSB54G USB WiFi card, which I know I've used with Ubuntu before. For some reason, I can't connect to my wireless network. It just keeps asking me for my password, thinking about for a minute, then asking again. Anyone seen this before and possibly offer a solution? Thanks for any help.

You can try this: 11.10 - Network manager asks for wireless password continually - Ask Ubuntu
Or go to network manager and delete the network and try again. -
Thanks AuG. I'll give it a whirl. My router is just goofy. My main desktop has stopped connecting to it for some reason and that could be part of the problem too. It's a cheap $30 Belkin router that replace another cheap Belkin router, that worked for year with no issues.

So just for fun, I tried Fedora 19, to see if I can get it work. It keeps telling me I'm connected to my network and the signal is strong, but anything that tries to get online fails. I know the network works because all other devices can connect.

By it, do you mean the Network Manager? What is telling you that you're connected to the network?

Did you try opening your browser once your system told you that it was connected? Frequently when you open a page (such as Google) a screen will load asking you for the password for the network. At least that is how it works when traveling in hotels. Hope you have success.

OK so some basic networking troubleshooting then.
what's in /etc/resolv.conf?
When you try to ping google.com do you get an IP, and then can't get out? OR do you not even get name->IP resolution?
Can you ping your gateway? (route -n can show you that).
Can you ping 8.8.4.4 ? That's one of google's dns servers.
