I've been able to get everything working under Ubuntu 6.10 on my P1 UX except for the webcam. Has anyone figured out which driver to install? or barring that, does someone at P1 know what the exact model of webcam is in the UX?
BTW, if anyone is running into softlockup errors while booting, make sure your wireless is on. It's a kernel bug that caused me lots of pain.

i moved your thread to the linux forum in hopes of you getting more answers....though i think there was another ux user who asked this question and couldn't find an answer.

Since I can't seem to find any information on what a P1 UX is...
The first thing we need to do is figure out what camera's in it.
In a command line, use the command:
lspci | grep cam
If it gives you any output, paste it here. If not, then just run both
lspci
lsusb
And paste everything it outputs.
This will help determine what camera controller you have hopefully.

They have just moved to the Ubuntu project, so hopefully your cam will work out-of-the-box with Ubuntu in the not-too-distant future. (Yours would fall under the "eb1a:2750 based webcams" in the in-progress
section.)
