Has the solution for why the network manager disables itself in 10.04 been solved yet? I search these forums, ubuntu forums, and google and there's lots of threads labeled solved, but I haven't found a single answer for why it's happening or how to fix it. I don't mean to keep bringing this up, but it's extremely annoying having to prevent my computer from suspending in order to save the network.

What exactly is the problem the network manager is doing? When you put the computer in standby/suspend, the OS is inactive and the network manager is going to stop?

Do you mean network manager doesn't work when you bring the computer out of standby?
