Has anybody suceccfully got this to work? I have it installed but when I go to run ubuntu it keeps telling me the following:

The display server has been shut down about 6 times in the last 90 seconds. It is likely that something bad is going on. Waiting for 2 minutes before trying on display :0

Before I get this message in ubuntu the screen resizes constantly from one resolution to another. Its hard to explain, so if you need any more info please let me know.

I dont know jack about linux but am very familiar with Windows.

Running Vista Ultimate. Thanks for any help.

You know, I actually do have it working. Well, I have Ubuntu working, don't know what revision. I am not very familiar in Linux debugging though so I don't think I can help much. However, the error you are getting....is that a graphics card related error? Perhaps a driver issue?

    Just use VMware player instead.

Download VMware player http://www.vmware.com/products/player/ and install it.
Go to this site http://www.easyvmx.com/new-easyvmx.shtml. You only need to mess with the stuff marked green (there are only 4 fields). Also make sure to check the box for CD drive 2 (slave) and put in the name of the ubuntu .iso file.
Put the Ubuntu .iso and the config file in the same folder, make sure the name of the .iso is the same as the name you gave it in the config file for cd drive 2 (slave).

It should run just fine and you can install it just fine.
You can mess with the config files if you want, it should all be pretty self-explanatory.

I tried using MS Virtual PC 2007 with Ubuntu, and it REALLY didn't work very well. By the time I finally got it working I couldn't seem to get my mouse to work, which seems to be a problem with the linux kernel and Microsoft VM.
