    Ubuntu 8.10 - How to login as the Guest user

    I know how to switch the user to Guest once logged in as someone else but how do I login as Guest to start off?

    Create a guest user, I assume you've done this already. Then, under Admin, go to Login Window. Under the Security tab you can choose the user you want to auto-login as.

    Right I could do this, but the guest user should already exist in Ubuntu 8.10.

    According to this Ubuntu forum post, the option for a guest user account at login can be achieved by installing the package ' gdm-guest-session'.
    I've never tried it myself though.
