I'll stick with Remix. I like it so much better than the default theme. Now, if they would just improve power management....

9.04 is really good... I don't think it's worth waiting until April or whenever to switch.

Wow! That looks very nice! The new logon screen looks good too, although it would look better if that bar at the bottom was either semitransparent, or if it was transparent completely so only the icon's show. :)

    :(
ewww. The color scheme is back to default horrible. 9.04 was all nice and sleek black, now its back to ubuntu brown.

But thats all changeable so that ok. But i really liked the 9.04 log on better.

But the icons are nice and the overall OS improvement will make me upgrade to it. I cant wait for the next LTS :D

I don't think I ever liked the Ubuntu colors. They just make me think of very unpleasant things.

Nor is their logo very good. Too much for the eye to take in at once. Should be nice and simple.

Why does the default login screen have to be so dashed unattractive? Without even getting really fancy, something like these themes would be SO much better.

yeah the use of semi-transparency on the official screen would do wonders. The backgrounds there are nice too. Hopefully people will be able to change out the screen to one of the ones you linked too!

I personally use the Ubuntu Black Rust theme that's included in the list, but I've noticed that the link there doesn't work, and neither do any other links I could find. It seems the file is no longer on deviantART. So if anyone wants the theme, I can upload it. :)

I like what they did with the splash screen before the login. Wow! Ubuntu Sky, Bliss, Ubuntu Rust or Dark Ubuntu Aurora would work particularly well the simplicity image of Ubuntu, the other look way to busy and flashy....

It was released on October 29th. It only has new features like the Software Store, new boot screen, new themes and wallpapers, new Grub, updated Firefox and Gimp, new kernel with support for usb 3.0, Ubuntu One, replacement of Pidgin with Empathy... Just a couple new things.

Well it's not that bad. I mean before the whole login background was brown, I think they are migrating slowly toward a more red-yellow-orange theme. But it doesn't really serve a purpose to complain about the brown. It's not like you have to keep it. You can change the gdm theme if you don't like it.
