What's the deal with this site? ubuntusoftware.info?

It isn't the official Ubuntu site. And this site seems incomplete (i.e. go to About and nothing comes up).

I've got to be honest, I'd feel a lot safer just downloading the official Ubuntu distro and installing the stuff I wanted rather than getting a distro like this from some site that looks sort of questionable.

EDIT: After researching this a bit, I guess it is somewhat legit (or at least, it isn't shady, just maybe a bit amateurish). I think I'd still stick with one of the official ubuntu distros, but I guess this is OK.

Yeah, that or try Linux Mint. It has all the flashy, non-free stuff included already.

Ubuntu ultimate looks like it is kinda the anti-Ubuntu ultimate as all of the "non-free" software is built in. I think I'll start with my own install and just add the repositories for the "non-free" software I need. No point in loading up with stuff you don't really need right off the bat. imho

The site just got back up today, it didn't have unlimited bandwith. But now it has a Mirror that does have Unlimited bandwith. It's much slower at only
    250kb/sec.

I already have the Original in my laptop, I just want to install this with everything loaded for my desktop, and see how the Grub loader screen looks.
I just don't feel like doing everything I did with my laptop all over again on my desktop.

Download is halfway, I'll report back with review.

    :( Thats not fair. lol

Did you download the First(mirror) or the second link ?
I using the first link. I think the second might be faster.

I have 10mbps, so I know it the speed thats capped.

EDIT: Yup it is the second link thats faster. Oh well, I'll just see with link wins the race.

Done and burned. I used getright and setup to pull both (over 4 segments also).

Be sure to check integrity. Mine failed...boo.

Wow thats quite an extensive list of addons, it certainly would have made setting up Ubuntu a lot easier for me when I was just starting in Linux. I think most of that stuff is in the repositorys now, so its not to hard to set up.

Too much stuff for me. One thing I like about Ubuntu is that it all fits on a CD rather than a DVD. And I think that's just too much bloat. I especially am not fond of using KDE apps in Gnome, so the fact that so many are installed is kind of bad. I'd rather just build my own system up as others. Though some things such as built-in nVidia drivers and ndiswrapper is nice if you don't have a Internet connection at the time of install.
