Hi,
I have an old Compaq with no CD with Win98 installed . I used laplink and ISO Buster to load all files from an Ubuntu ISO into a folder on a WIN98 PC. I can not find any exe files. How can I start the Ubuntu install from Win98. I can leave Win98 on or remove it--don't care. Can't find any boot diiskette for Ubuntu. Obviously I am not looking in the right place. PLease Help.
Thanks,
Rich

I've just found an interesting article. There is a link to an automated tool instlux for installing Ubuntu, but I'm not sure if works with just a hard drive or needs a network also.

that's awesome that you found some documentation on that... I'm gonna put that nugget in my bookmarks to give to other people with a similar problem.
