    Ubuntu on HP DV2700t? HD DVD?

    Hey guys here are my computers specs,

    Now, I want to dual boot with windows vista, and ubuntu. Will ubuntu work with my specs and set up? What about the HD DVD drive?

    I see no reason why Ubuntu won't work on your system.

    did try it and worked quiet well
    just two issues
    1) sound: had to enable backport to get it going
    2) video driver: had to enable restricted driver
    other then that it works quiet well
    tried mandriva 2008, pclinuxos and debian too

    Yes, enabling restricted is needed, but it reminds you to :) Do you have bluetooth?

    No no bluetooth, i think i'm kicking myself over that. It was only 20 dollars extra...urgh
