I'm just curious, between the two which would you rather use? Please feel free to give reasons why, if you so choose. I decided to make this a poll at the last moment. ;)
I like both but I think I prefer Xubuntu. I like the streamlined look better, but I'm annoyed with Thunar that I have to open the file browser to be able to copy/paste.

Depends on your taste. XFCE is lighter and way more modular, but has a really really (and I mean really) slow development cycle. Also, Ubuntu usually gets all of the Canonical love, so some Ubuntu features may not be in Xubuntu. Of course, I use neither Ubuntu or Xubuntu(arch), so I really don't know.

    gnome[1]: lead programmer http://www.bonobomaastricht.nl/pics/overig/bonobo2.jpg

    Xfce[2]: Same guy.

hehehe....I'm back on KDE :) But if I had to pick, it would be Ubuntu because I have menu'ing issues with Xfce re CrossOver Office. Codeweavers is aware of it. If not for that, it would be a coin toss between the 2.

If I had to use *buntu I'd go for Xubuntu. I'm not that sure about the current status of Kubuntu, but Canonical pretty much messes up the other DEs.
There is all this bling bling in Gnome, Lubuntu has some stability issues that LXDE doesn't have in Debian and Xubuntu is very bloated in comparison to an Xfce installation on Debian. From all these drawbacks the Xubuntu bloat would be the one I would accept if I had to.
