Is there a guide to undervolting for debian etch or ubuntu ?
I am running cpufrequtils fine now![]()
This is for pentium M dothan 2ghz

yeah, i use NHC in windows too, and i'm getting similar battery life when i use the default ubuntu installation (frequency scaled to lowest of course). And I guess I'm pretty happy with that, because 1GHZ is more than enough to run ubuntu
whereas for windows... might become choppy, might not.

I'm running windows right now, prime95 is running, firefox is there, and I've restricted the pentium M speed to 600Mhz.
Sysem is still very responsive, no lags etc.
Same was true in debian. I could play full screen avi videos at SXGA+ at 600Mhz. -
Yeah, but my ubuntu only lets me go down to 1GHz (or more accurately 996MHz) as the lowest step for gnome-applet. And as of now, 3h is pretty good for me.
