last night I deleted my Ubuntu partition from within Vista and extended my Vista partition to the end of the disc. Now, I can't boot into my Vista install so I'm stuck. When I turn on my computer it tries to load GRUB Loading Stage1.5, but I just end up with Error 22. Attempts to repair my Vista startup with my install disc hasn't worked yet either. Any ideas?

Use the Ubuntu LiveCD and check your partitions. Make sure The boot flag is correctly placed.

This happened to me the other day too. I did what timberwolf and ayle said. Just ran that one command and everything was back to normal on the next start up.
Basically, when you deleted your ubuntu partition, you deleted your grub config, hence grub could not find that file.
