Ok, gregory really helped me out in the last thread. I lost all my data because i was burning .iso's as backups and not to boot LOLso i thought the system was ed after weeks of trying.
Anyway used UBCD to wipe the disk. Got mandrivia here. I want to install it. If i install should it pick up all my drivers, gpu etc alright? Even tho ive killed everything on the disk and bypassed the bios protection on it.

Just for some preliminary information:
It should boot up alright but you may find that auxiliary feature drivers are not included. I usually recommend Ubuntu for those starting out, but each distro has its strengths. What laptop do you have? -
Ok if it boots ok and am missing drivers. then what. Sure alot of the drivers r not available in linux .exe's from the website. -
Now that is a good question. Unfortunately I have never stuck with a distro to tweak and install all my devices. At worst, try it out and see. Boot using a live cd version as that will give you a temporary environment where you can test your hardware compatibility.
