I basically have Ubuntu 7.10 running great on my computer now - thanks for all the help, guys.

The only thing that I'm kinda disappointed at is the non-3 main buttons (scroll, 3rd click, right, left click) on my logitech VX revolution work, but the others are "confused." The back button opens new tabs and the forward button right clicks... The search and zoom buttons are completely useless. My question is: is there any way to customize what they do? Or at least give them their default actions back...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Another quick Newbie question: how do I get to the command line? I keep finding commands to type in on the internet to install things but I don't know where to type the commands. Thanks.

i just got ubuntu 7.10 on my d630 yesterday, and it's great.

all iv'e got to get working now is the vx revolution, which i have no idea how to config.
i'm using btnx but have no idea how it works, the buttons don't seem to work no matter what options i choose.

i've already mapped them and i'm trying to get them to do anything else then to search for "back thumb button" when i hit the back button and right click when i hit forward.....

is there an alternative method to get my buttons working.
also is there a way to change the accel on the trackpad. it's super slow to move the mouse.

    thanks in advance.
