So I'm loving Ubuntu but the only problem I have is that during anytype of online video playback I get tearing much like tearing in videogames. I have 8.04 and the newest flash plugin. I was wondering if updating nvidia drivers would help but the instructions seem a bit too complicated for a newb like me. Any suggestions?

If you haven't tried updating your nvidia drivers, I would suggest using something like EnvyNG to do so( http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html). Also, I'm assuming you're using restricted drivers?

If all else fails, try checking out the ubuntu forums =).

    Cheers!
