Well what I stood as close as I can to my router, and then connected from there, and slowly started walking to my room. It retained connection haha. I don't know if it's going to work once I restart my computer though.

I have a similar problem. It doesn't affect me as this is my neighbour's connection but interestingly, it will only appear on the list of networks half the time, seemingly at random. When it does see it, the strength is above 20% so it shouldn't have any problems. Have you tried manually scanning? I'd also consider editing /etc/network/interfaces and hard coding the SSID there as my only explanation is that the automatic detection is biased against weak signals. But hopefully, having connected to it once, it will keep this in memory for future so there shouldn't be any problems on restart. Or maybe I should stop talking crap... anyway, let us know if you are still having issues after restarting.

Oh yesh I'll definitely let you guys know if I'm going to have issues. Right now I'm typing from my EEE, and so far it's great [except for Xandros, which is totally not to my taste =P]
I want to get Ubuntu on it, but I'm having trouble getting an installable image of Ubuntu on my USB stick. I posted about it in the EEE Linux re-install thread; but so far no help yet =[ -
Sorry for the late response but if it doesn't work try manual and or adding it yourself. Also (almost hate to say this) you could aslo add some of the KDE pakages for wifi, I have had better luck with them at times.

Okay, so I restarted Ubuntu and it fails to see my wifi =[ I don't mind working on it later, since getting it running on my EEE is more important. I still need to get a guide which tells me how to install Ubuntu from my flashdrive. I followed the guide on teh eee wiki, but for some reason, I couldn't get "sudo ./isotostick.sh /path/to/image.iso /dev/sdb1" to work. Link to wiki

What error do you get?

Hey John, I decided to switch distros and go to Linux Mint 4.0. I'm having the same trouble as before - it fails to see my wifi network. It's there because I'm typing from my EEE with 43% signal strength. My Clevo just refuses to connect =/
-
Oh I found this, while on my quest for solving the trouble:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/121439
I suppose this means I'll be moving to Fedora 8? Man Linux Mint was awesome ; ;
Edit: I'm willing to try out iwl3945 drivers; I'll keep this thread updated on that.
Edit 2: I tried that. Failed. I am understanding how flamenko must've felt -
Yes keep us posted. I have been using Ubuntu 7.04 since about release time and have had no issues with it. I finally got a good 7.10 iso last night and it booted up with no issues so far.. I may do the actual install tonight just to see if everything works right. But I need to back up my system first. I am looking at Mint just to try out but we shall see how the down load goes.

I installed Fedora since I've pretty much tried out everything I can think of, and asked in all places I can think of. If it's a bug, it's a bug. I didn't really read the whole n number of comments; maybe another day. Fedora recognizes my card, but I haven't tried to get wifi working. Maybe that should go in another thread, or in the Clevo forum. Maybe a poll asking other people what their experiences are with other distros.
Wanted: Ubuntu 7.10 Help and Assistance...
