From any Tier 1 manufacturer?

I think only Dell, and then only on the Mini and possibly an Inspiron. If you're asking about Linux, and not specifically Canonical's Ubuntu, then most have at least something in place already.

Is there a reason for this query?
I bought an Inspiron 15 a year ago with Ubuntu on it. Soon after Dell nixed it as being a good deal. Now they force lots of expensive options onto it so that it is cheaper to just buy it with Windows and install whatever OS you want on it. -
The Vostro V13 comes with Ubuntu 9.04 and it's only $449. I bought a V13 with Windows 7. It runs W7 very fast even with a Celeron 743. I prefer Mint 9 over Ubuntu but it should handle Ubuntu with no problems.

You could always check system76. They sell machines loaded with Ubuntu.
Cheers...

Hey Vogel...hate to lose you from the m6500 club....decided on another machine yet?
I think there's others than DELL with RedHat.....drawing a blank right now...

Looking at feasibility of distributing machines.
Tier 1 = global availability
And yes, Ubuntu only -
Well, one of the repalcements has arrived. However I have problems on the Dell front... they're trying to wriggle out of what we agreed before and are making various other offers - which I might eventually go '**** it, I'll take it', so I might be left with a half-and-half mobile workstation lineup. Not good.
What are the 5 highest-end machines shipped with Ubuntu?
