Think it'll live up to the hype? Qt4 (the programming base they use for it) is already leaps ahead of what it used to be, so it's a much lighter-weight and more powerful toolkit, but do you think that the desktop will live up to what this article asks?

I love it the only issue i have with my other setup which is linux suse. is that I really want to play the sims 2 with all the expansion packs. If someone could tell me how to accomplish this I would ditch windows vista for good.

I can't wait for it. I really can't. Aside from all the visual improvements (pretty icons and all that), there's all the rewritten applications and the portability to other platforms to consider. Every time I look at the latest Dot KDE article, I get more excited about KDE4.
The currently slated release date is a few days before my birthday. What a wonderful present it would be!

I looking forward to some speed increases, and hopefully a bit less memory usage.
What do you think about KDE 4.0?
