This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    When will linux go mostly 64 bit?

    I'm thinking 2009/2010.
    My distro is going x64 with v.3.0, and that release is expected by august of next year(a few test releases before that; 2.5, 2.75).

    Most computers know are x64, but I can understand that some aren't.
