I simply can't find a single link to download the Ubuntu 7.10 dvd, the links on the ubuntu website seem to be broken since times immemorial as do the links on all other sites that google led me to.
Anyone has a solution?
-
Maybe bittorrent? A lot of Linux distro's can be downloaded that way. Just a stab in the dark.

Where do you live? I mean, on the globe, not the city. -
Do you guys recommend 32 or 64-bit for the laptop in my sig, I am going put Ubuntu on my laptop.
-
Since you have a Core 2 Duo, use 64 bit.

I had no problem downloading from the Ubuntu site?

Copy the link you're trying to use and someone else can try it. -
The link of the webpage:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/gutsy/release/
The link of the downloadable image file:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/gutsy/release/ubuntu-7.10-dvd-i386.iso -
I'm stuck with dial-up. Went to your second link, clicked on it, asked Firefox to "Save to Disk", and Download Manager came up. It estimated a download time of 141 hours, but the download did start.
So the server's not broken.
What browser are you using? Could you try Firefox or Opera and see what happens? I'm wondering if there's some goofy security setting in your browser that's holding you up? -
Excellent, it seems to be working. Thanks for the help.

That's only the 32 bit ISO.
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/gutsy/release/ubuntu-7.10-dvd-amd64.iso is the 64 bit ISO. -
Your links worked for me, onion.
You should try it via torrents, it'll be a lot faster(thats how I downloaded it) -
anyone got idea about when the next version is released?
