But sadly, as all primary partitions!
According to Windows disk management I now have 6 primary partitions on my first hard drive and 5 primarys on my second hard drive.
As I'm sure you know already, this is an impossibility on an mbr partitioned drive!
Beware!

Screenshots both with disk management and gparted.

I'd send a bug report (severity: "rc" - apparently no source code available) to MS including a suggestion to replace the defective disk management tool with gparted.
-
I've noticed that myself and also say (for the millionth time) it's pretty darned SORRY that desktop windows can't read those partitions in the first place! /rant
-
Very poor indeed!
MS must know about this, but with the recent trend of supplying new systems with all 4 primary partitions used up, I wonder if a conspiracy is afoot. Probably! -
you bet there is.....remember the old "DOS ain't done till Lotus won't run"
-
No idea if this could be called a conspiracy, but MS is definitely trying to block other OSes. Why else would they overwrite MBRs without prompting or only deliver drivers for 3 file systems?
This would be considered to be a mayor failure if any other OS vendor would do that. -
Darned straight it would be !! Maybe we should all file bug reports to MS that linux file systems aren't properly recognized?
Windows Disk Management screen recognises Linux partitions
