    Hello,

I have a Dell Studio 17 laptop. There is one minor problem that I have since I've replace my Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit with the new 9.04 64 bit. Whenever I am opening or resizing a window (either file or internet browser) there is about half a second of a delay/freeze where the graphics/fonts are blurry before it comes to normal. Any idea what that may be?

    Thanks for any hint!

What graphics card do you have?
Have you installed the proprietary drivers?
    Are you running Compiz?

Hi there. Thanks for replying. I have ATI Radeon 3650 graphic card (works smooth on my Vista, and was great on Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit). I reinstalled the 64 bit Linux driver for the graphics card, but the problem remains. I'm not running Compiz.
