The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Windows games on Linux...

    Wine versions 1.1.20 and up are much better. They handle things like My Games folders, securom, GPU VRAM much better. I've settled on 1.1.29 for now, as it gives the best balance between performance, stability and features. 1.1.35 has given me issues with Oblivion so I'm staying put.

    As always, nvidia GPU recommended.

    not really..i just followed the instructions on wine..
    i also downloaded the mfc2.dll and put it in my halo folder..
    make sure to download wine and winetricks..so you can download the fonts..you'll need those. umm...i think that's all..
