Hey,
I installed steam with wine. counter strike 1.6 works perfectly, but team fortress 2 doesn't. When i run it and join a server, it freezes at this:
![]()
Setting vertex shader to none and pixel shader to not allowed make the game crash as soon as it opens. Changing audio settings doesn't do anything.
Anybody know what to do?

can you try the dirext8 mode?

are you running wine with sudo? if yes...try it without that might help.

Oh by the way the orange box works fine. Here is a tutorial on setting it up, it should be the same with tf2. http://gaming.gwos.org/doku.php/wine:team_fortress_2 Try reinstall it...that might also help.
