    Hello,
Can anyone recommend the required setting for Wine in order to run WOT at more then 15-20 FPS? I don't know what's wrong, but when i turn on "Extra Effects" it goes into snail mode :(

Post your computer specs and what distro you are running.

    Hello,
Forgot to add the specs, they are in my signature. A real beast :D and yet it does have problems with a game that runs quite fine on Win 7. Distro is Ubuntu 12.10. Wine is latest stable 1.4.1.
What extra efects? I dont know...there is a checkbox in game and...that is pretty much all i know :( sorry i cannot give more details.

Anyway, here are the settings: Anisotropic 16x, Shadow Quality, Enhanced Shadows, Water Quality, Water Simulation, Foliage Quality, Flora Density, Advanced Post Processing, Post Processing, Draw Distance, Object Level of Detail, Extra effects quality, Extra effects in Sniper Mode - Maximum
Display grass in Sniper Mode - ON.
    Enable track effects - ON.
    Enable track traces - ON.

The real FPS drop happens when a shell lands next to me and a plume of particles rises up, especially in sniper mode.
