This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Netflix uses HTML5 to stream videos… and because Firefox now has native support for streaming videos protected by DRM.

    A few years back Netflix dropped Silverlight in favor of html5 video with some DRM on top. Since then it's been possible to watch Netflix on Google Chrome for Linux out of the box. This announcement just adds unofficial support for Firefox on Linux.
