    a few xubuntu problems..

    1.) i can't make bluetooth stick, start on startup... i tried adding lines in to bluetooth file but doesnt work. maybe i'm adding it wrong or into the wrong place :-/

    2.) it won't mount external harddrives.. :-/

    any help is appreciatd! thnx.

    Well, I dunno about your bluetooth problem, maybe if theZoid sees this he could better help you out...

    For your hard drives, try typing "df" in a terminal and paste the output here (make sure your hard drives are plugged in and turned on btw)

    i have a 200gb extenral hd connect via usb.. it worked this time but sometimes it doesnt let me mount..

    i also have a 320gb smartbay harddrive that doesnt show/isnt mounted still :/

    To mount your Vista file system (assuming you have one) add this line to /etc/fstab as root:

    /dev/sda1 /media/VistaOS ntfs-3g nls=utf8,umask=0222 0 0

    then go to in Thunar to /media and bookmark VistaOS (in my case, name "VistaOS" whatever you like) to get to it in the future.

    External? Mine showed right on up....let me think about that one...check Ubuntu forums.

    im using an m15
    i have a triple partitioned harddrive, a smartbay harddrive and a extenal harddrive.

    the external harddrive sometimes shows, sometimes doesnt.. beyond that, none of my other 2 partitions(vista/xp) or smartbay harddrive shows

    In my blog below, there is an Xubuntu bluetooth guide I just put there the other day...you can check and compare....I'm not having any problems....MS Bluetooth Mouse for Laptops

    You might try gnome-volume-manager in Synaptic to automount volumes....I just put it on my install to see what it does that wasn't happening if anything.

    EDIT: I uninstalled gnome-volume-manager as I couldn't see it added any function. Look in settings >file manager>volume management "configure"
