Oh right so I want to buy zenbook ux305ca with core m3-6Y30and install debian stretch on it. Has anyone tried it? Are theee any incompability bumps that I should expect? I've read somewhere that some ppl had troubles with installing touchpad drivers on ubuntu with an older kernel. Is it the case with newest debian?

I don't know about Debian Stretch, but this Debian distribution should work:
https://mxlinux.org/
I would download the August version found here:
http://mxrepo.com/snapshots/?C=M;O=D
Choose the iso version you like and make a bootable usb drive with MX Linux on it.
This link shows how to create a live usb image:

So you own linux mint and everything works like a charm ( even auto brightness setting, touchpad gestures, etc ). What DE do you use?
