What version of flash, and are you running 32 or 64 bit?

we need the exact output of what it says when it won't install. Open a terminal and type 'sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree'

    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
    that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
flashplugin-nonfree: Depends: nspluginwrapper (>= 0.9.91.4-2ubuntu1) but it is not going to be installed
    E: Broken packages

and im running 8.04.1 if that helps.

Everything seems to be in order... you may have to sudo apt-get update before trying to install, otherwise I can't help you anymore, Ubuntu isn't the distro I use.

You could try using aptitude instead of apt-get... You should have started with the 32 bit version it is way easier to set up and you don't have to deal with nspluginwraper acting up when trying to install 32bits plugins...
