Yeah dude im a first time user - I am using the mandriva 07 distribution, which i find is really aesthetically pleasing and relatively easy to use.
Im not too good at the Gimp yet, but i have heard it has a bit of a learning curve anyway. What distribution are you using?

My situation is very similar to the original post :) I've tried Ubuntu Feisty, Kubuntu Feisty, PCLinuxOS2007, and LinuxMint Cassandra. I like Ubuntu the best because it just feels more complete than the others. LinuxMint was a very close second, and I loved its organization of the menu. But, it didn't have enough Chinese support (I couldn't figure out how to get the SCIM working in Mint... heheheh) so I switched back to Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is one of those distros where you just keep coming back to it lol! I've used it several different times. Even though its not my favorite distro, I keep going back to it just because its useful, convenient, and just plain great.

Not sure if I should post it here or start a new thread...

So, I tried to get Firestarter the other day through the Add/Remove method. But it seems to me that the firestarter repository is down or something, because I can't download the package. I also tried the apt-get method, and that didn't work either.

Is anyone else having this problem?
