The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I guess an exec at Codeweavers said they'd give away Crossover Pro for a day when gas prices hit a certain price in his hometown, which it did recently. So you can get a years license to Crossover Pro for either Linux or Mac (but not both, it appears) free of charge. Just a heads up for everyone here. I've never used Crossover, so this isn't an endorsement in any way.

Their site is down right now, but you can get a serial number emailed to you, and they've extended activation for 48 hours so you can do so after demand dies down (hopefully). But you have to request the serial before midnight.
