i keep getting this error after a (randomish) amount of time:

The folder contents could not be displayed
Sorry, couldn't display all the contents of <folder name>.

whats the deal with this error? im really not sure what im doing to cause it. Basically all im doing is running audio tag tool to change the file names of some of my music, im sorting through some albums for the songs i like and the ones i dont i delete and the ones i like i copy to another folder. I dont know how doing this could cause errors like this..

logging out and logging back in fixes it, but then i have to drop everything im doing and start over..

Hmm. I sometimes get a very similar error. Here's an example:

    1. open a video file in Avidemux (video editor)
    2. edit it. Close Avidemux.
    3. burn the video to CD .
    4. remove the video folder with all the files in it.
    5. open Avidemux again, try to open a file.
    6. you get "The folder contents could not be displayed." in the file picker dialog.

What this means is Avidemux remembered the last folder, and tried to open it, but it's not there, we had deleted it. Hence the message.

    Am I in the ballpark?
