my hd is partitioned xp/vista/xubuntu atm. it took me aLONG time to get the triple booting to work properly through grub and bluetooth devices etc...

if i installed ubuntu over xubuntu is there something i should do. to preserve my triplebooting? :x besides copying whatever i put into my menu.lst

i think i did other things to get the triplebooting to work besides menu.lst but i don't remember what i did :D

whats so hard about triple boot?
i had vista and two seperate linux distros installed
grub didnt give a problem at all, at the end of the third install, it detected the other OSes and added them to the menu.

If you want Ubuntu instead of Xubuntu, just go to Synaptic, uninstall Xubuntu-desktop package, and install ubuntu-desktop. That's all you need to do. No need to mess with things that already work

so u can switch xubuntu to ubuntu so simply??

lakjin 2 _windows_ partition /xp/vista (espeically since vista is already installed) is harder, b/c xp will override the boot records for vista
