    just got an asus wl500g router

    And Iam trying to make it so that I can have an external hard drive in the usb and make it the storage compartment for the router so I can download stuff without the PC on and what not. Also can someone point me out in how I can do this...all the sites I have seen involve Linux commands and I am using windows xp atm. So what i need is a tutorial for XP. If someone can also help with firmwares that would be great as well. It has been a mess trying to do it myself almost messed up the router. Also i need to learn how to set it to download torrents as well.

    Well, this is the Linux form, so you'll likely have better luck in the Windows forum if you're looking for some way to do it in XP.

    EDIT: Or the networking forum.

    Well yeah I Just thought I'd give the linux forum a try since it is a linux app. If I still had linux running I wouldnt have to ask
