I was wondering if anyone was sucessful in running knoppix live cd 4.02 on HP 8000t. The disk start to boots then hangs after adding drivers for card readers. This same disk works on IBM T23 thinkpad and various other computer so I know it is not a bad disk. My laptop ran both ubuntu live and installed without problems.

Might try kanotix. It's similar to knoppix, but I think the hardware detection is supposed to be better.
