I'm using regular Ubuntu 7.10RC right now (and working on an article), but just so you know you will update as normal via the upgrade manager (it should come up automatically by default). 7.10 Final release tomorrow, 10/18.

Gutsy (remember its gutsy not gusty, its easy mix up though) is supposed to have better battery life then previous versions of linux, maybe even better then vista/xp. I haven't been able to try it myself either because my school doesn't like linux on their wifi network.

Also, does anyone notice that the update is unusually slow today? Before it came up within 10 mins but I've had my machine on for almost an hour and still no notification for the updates.
