    anyone already tried 6920g acer with ubuntu 8.04? how's hardware compatibility?

    hmm...I've tried an Acer Ferrari 4000, about 3.0 years old, it works out of the box. Still using it sometimes. I would say you'll be fine with Ubuntu.

    anyone tried wubi to install ubuntu? hows the experience? how's the performance?

    Boot up times are slower with my wubi install, and I can't seem to access the partition its coming from. Only use wubi if you don't know any other way to install Ubuntu.

    i got wubi to install and i even had access to my host partition. just access the folder called "host" in the disk
