Since apple in their infinite wisdom does not include a left and right mouse button, how do I "right click" for Linux? Also, in elementary, can I make the dock zoom when hovered over like I could in OSX?
I am liking Linux more than osx however. It all works great, unlike OSX on my MacBook that was just terrible.

I think it might be synaptics or ELAN, try the same gestures you do on Mac OS and maybe Linux might have it. -
It's not showing any model. I plugged in my logitech mouse and it works great. I am deciding whether I am going to use this or mint. I like mint as well. I am finding eOS a resource hog and the system slows to a stop a fair bit.

Cool. I may try mint first...I like the windows 10 like design of it.
Vasudev,
I am trying to install mint on my mac. It does not give an option for installation on the ISO disk I downloaded only to run Linux from the disk....any ideas? When I did elementary, it had an option for it.
I think I got it...you have to open mint in order to install it!!!Vasudev likes this. -
Mint works much better on the mac than eOS does. Plus it's laid out much like windows 10 which is even better! New life in my old MacBook.

Usually you hold two fingers on the touchpad and click for right click.

I will give that a shot. Thanks. Another reason macs are wonky. instead of putting an easy right button on their devices, they have you learn funky keyboard commands, and mouse touches....

But remember, Apple knows what works best! They take UNIX and use it for their base of their OSes, and then they muck it up.

eOS is great but, for an easy to use laymans OS they sure are retarded sometimes. it doesn't support any other GPU other than intel unless you know how to manually installed the driver finder program from ubuntu/*buntu. the latest version doesn't support .deb packages so you have to install gdeb or some other .deb package installer.
I have the same problem on first general core duo (not core 2) that i installed win 10 on. no keyboard back light and no right click. i just use a wireless mouse since it gets so hot i'll never use it my lap.Vasudev likes this. -
Yeah I found it resource intensive. Since I switched to Mint, it's much faster and cooler!
